Oppo N3 smartphone leaks with rotating camera

Oppo N3 leak
Smartphone marker Oppo has a new device on the way, as the Oppo N3 leaks with a rotating camera in tow.

With the Chinese manufacturer not coy about pushing boundaries and trying something different, the company’s latest smartphone offering has been teased ahead of a formal unveiling next month.

The leaked Oppo N3 images, which have surfaced courtesy of GSM Arena, show off a slimline phone with a bulbous upper edge. This top curve plays host to a dual-LED flash enhanced camera which is capable of rotating through 180-degrees.

Although the camera’s attributes – sensor, lens and aperture – have yet to be revealed, this should offer improved selfie shooting without compromising on tradition photography.

Further teasing the device, the official Oppo Facebook page recently posted a teaser image to next month’s launch event with the slogan “This was the phone. Time to turn things around in October.

Adding to the hype, Oppo CEO Tony Chen stated: “One more step designed for life. At Oppo we’ve always respected boldness, beauty, ingenuity and the challenges of our rivals. We have faith in technology and innovation because they are the driving forces of our modern lives.

“Throughout the mobile phone to smartphone evolution, we at Oppo have gone with the times, yet we have never changed in our core pursuit of beauty and originality.”

He added: “Soon we will see the release of our newest product. We sincerely hope that our product accomplishes our desire to improve lifestyles, and to provide many more pleasant surprises to our users.”

Finalised specs for the Oppo N3 are still unclear.
